Upon late arrival, we were greeted with a very warm smile. The staff are amazing, offering the warmest family feeling. The horse riding was truly beautiful, through some lovely tracks. The meals are first rate and plentiful. The beds are comfortable offering a great nights sleep. Mike is an amazing host, reciting poetry like it should be done. Overall, we didn’t want to leave. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful place and embracing the humble country lifestyle. If I could give this 6 stars I would. Thank you to everyone at Chesleigh homestead.

We’ve just returned from a family weekend away and what a blast it was. Close enough to be an easy journey from Sydney but a world away from the weekly rush Chesleigh was superb. The welcome we had the moment we arrived set the tone for the trip. Nothing was to much trouble. The food and coffee were fabulous and plentiful. The camp fifire was always going and the rooms warm and welcoming.

Enjoying the Saturday night after a fantastic roast lamb around a warm fifire with a starlight sky above took you back years.

Sunday saw a novice rider (2 lessons, many many years ago) cantering through unforgettable scenery with the group thanks to Jess and Sasha’s help and patience.

All the troubles of the week melted away when we arrived at Chesleigh. We got back into nature and back into our bodies. I didn’t look at my phone once! We rode horses, cuddled dogs, panned for gold, walked through the Bush, ate hearty food, shared poems and songs around the camp fifire…All while enjoying beautiful accommodation. There is even a swimming pool, spa, pool table and table tennis table. But the best thing is the hosts…the Cody/Wafer families. So welcoming and knowledgeable. We will come back every year.”

I’m the lucky girl who enjoyed the most amazing surprise birthday weekend at Chesleigh Homestead in early March. Many thanks to Mike and Jan, Sasha and Brian, Paul and all my wonderful friends who helped make the whole weekend so special. Chesleigh was the perfect setting for a weekend with friends. We were spoilt with the most delicious food at every meal, stunning scenery, beautiful horses to ride, great accommodation and very generous hosts who were entertaining, informative and helpful. Just perfect in every way. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay.

Had our best holiday ever! Such warm hospitality, great facilities, gold panning with Mike, loved being a part of the family with Sasha, Brian and little Billy and I cannot rave enough about Jan’s cooking! As a mum going away with kids I did not expect a rest – and I got one!!! I’m eternally thankful – and defifinitely coming back!
