Your Stay
Will Include:
All meals will be provided with some bush cooking instructions for you. Your stay begins on Friday where we will escort you to your cabin either in your own car or by us or on horse back (by appointment)! The cabin is tucked away 3km at the heart of our property and is enshrouded by the stunning, rugged bush, mountains and only a short stroll down to the gold bearing creek. Your weekend will slowly glide by as you sit, do nothing, read and snooze or perhaps pan for gold, climb the surrounding mountains, bush walk along the creek beds and night sky watch through the telescope.
What's Next?
- We will pack you off with an easy and warming meal to enjoy on your first evening, so all you need to do is settle in and start your fire.
(Friday night: Soup, bread, chicken liver pate and rhubarb crumble)
- The breakfasts are simple and require little effort on your part:
(Sourdough loaf, jam, marmalade, poached fruit and yoghurt, housemade muesli)
- Lunch will be a local ploughman’s which should be easily portable for you to take on a bush walk or have on the cottage veranda. (Bubbles, French bread, cheeses, olives, hummus, prosciutto, roast veg)
Dinner is where you get busy
and at one with your
bush cooking skills
Either:
- Stew in cast iron pot over fire – pork and prune, beef and mushroom, vegetable and barley accompanied by herb or parmesan dumplings and tossed seasonal greens over your fire.
Or
- Marinated lamb backstrap or beef scotch fillet cooked by you over the campfire coals (if you fancy your skills) with greens, campfire potatoes and house made salsa verde. With a complimentary local red wine.
As you hand over your keys, your concluding lunch back at the homestead is a world famous BBQ feast.
